FC Fassell have agreed terms with double champions LISCR FC for the transfer of their former forward Terrence Tisdell on a three-year deal.
Both first division clubs finally reached the agreement yesterday for the young forward to sign the deal for an undisclosed fee following a long period of negotiation.
Tisdell, 19, joined former BYC players Mark Paye and Hilton Varney and former Keitrace forward Amadia Kawah and four Gambian players who were earlier signed by the ‘Shipping Boys.’ LISCR on October 28 announced the signing of Mustapha Njie from Gambia first league side Bombada Football Club, adding to the first three Gambians signed by the Gardnersville based club.
The 19-year-old was one of the top-performing players for the ‘Soccer Missionaries’ during last season’s campaign after the team maintained the top position on the league table from the start of the season in contention for the title. The team’s title ambition was, however, canceled by a protest ruling after the team was found guilty of fielding ineligible players.
Due to the ongoing financial crisis at Fassell, the team has now sold several of its key players including Alpha Jalloh, Didier Sossa, Jeremy Saygba, John Jaysay and former captain James Walatee.
During the just ended league season, Tisdell registered seven (7) goals and provided 13 assists in all competitions.
For the national team, Tisdell continued his brilliant form after he was introduced in the second half of Lone Star international friendly against Sierra Leone. With the scores leveled after the first half break, Tisdell’s introduction brought changes into the match and yielded a good result after the 19-year-old provided a crucial assist to striker Christopher Jackson.
The young forward, who in noted for his speed from both flanks, has made several appearances for the Lone Star having started his national team career with the junior national team.
