Following weeks of transfer rumors in the Liberia Football Association’s 1st Division league, former Keitrace outstanding forward Amadia Kawah has finally joined league champions LISCR FC. The former Keitrace attacker completed his move yesterday after signing a three-year deal with the Shipping Boys for an undisclosed fee, three days after the team signed former BYC striker Mark Paye on a three-year deal.

Kawah, 17, was a threat to opposing defenders in last season’s campaign. Despite his former club finishing 8th on the league table, the attacker’s exceptional performance resulted to him creating goal chances and scoring 18 in all competitions. The 17-year-old netted 12 goals in the championship; leveling with BYC forward Van-Dave Harmon.

Following the end of last season, the former Keitrace top scorer told international sports media Ducor Sports that last season was his best so far and was already looking forward to the next season. Having joined Keitrace FC during the 2011/2012 league season from 2nd Division club Bardnersville Young Controllers where he scored 18 goals in both division championship and the FA Cup, Kawah slotted home 45 goals in all competitions for his former club.

Kawah made his lat appearance for Keitrace against his new club in the team’s final league match where he scored the lone goal for Keitrace in the 1-1 encounter. He also netted a brace against his new club in the FA Cup after Keitrace defeated LISCR 3-2 in the First leg of the knockout Semi-finals.

The forward will be hoping to play a part for his new team in the 2017/2018 season. Kawah is also among local players invited to form part of the national team’s squad for the upcoming WAFU FOX Sports sponsored tournament in Ghana.

This brings to two the signing of two top players by the LFA champions in less than a week.
