New officers to run the Sports Writers Association of Liberia for the next two years were installed last Saturday at an installation program held at the YMCA on Broad Street, Monrovia.
Keynote Speaker Mr. Dee Maxwell Kemayah, president of the Liberia Business Association (LIBA), called sports writers to venture outside Monrovia to identify those with talents that could be developed for the country.
He said sports provide employment for the youths and therefore the Government of Liberia and private partners should work to ensure a sustainable empowerment for Liberian youths.
He meanwhile appealed to the Ministry of Justice to bring to book those involved in the murder of Prince Toby Wleh (Solaris) who was murdered last weekend near his home in Island Clinic.
SWAL president Roland Mulbah assured his colleagues of a robust leadership, pointing out that his administration will work to empower its members.—(See Tuesday’s edition for more.)
