The Sports Writers Association of Liberia (SWAL) has announced the launching of its membership drive today, Thursday, June 12, at the PUL headquarters on Clay Street, Monrovia at 12p.m.
Len Eugene Nagbe, Minister of Youth and Sports, who is also a full member of SWAL, will serve as chief launcher, while the association’s former president Malcolm W. Joseph is expected to serve as co-launcher.
SWAL’s parent body, the Press Union of Liberia (PUL) and other partners will grace the occasion as well.
A SWAL release, signed by secretary general Kolubah Zayzay said the membership drive is in fulfillment of the association’s plan to have its veterans and founding members play key roles in activities as sports writers in Montserrado and other counties crave to form part of the parent body.
The association urged all its former leaders and the entire membership to be in full attendance and on time.
