The fortnight rumor on the hire of former BYC II and BYC I coach, Robert ‘Pello’ Lartey to FC Fassell, LISCR FC and Watanga FC was brought to an end on Saturday.
The Liberia Football Association (LFA) former champions LISCR FC over the weekend signed the two times LFA’s best caoch.
LISCR FC unveiled Coach Lartey at the Club’s House in Sinkor, after he signed a two-year and renewable deal based on performance. Coach Pello replaces Cooper Zayzay.
Coach Pello is expected to officially begin training today on LISCR’s pitch in Paynesville, adjacent to the Olympic Village.
Speaking at the signing ceremony, the President of LISCR FC Mustapha Raji said he was happy to have Coach Lartey back with the club. He mandated Lartey to build a youthful and entertaining team for the future. He said he wants to see some level of development at the club.
For his part the newly signed Coach Lartey said he was happy to be back with the club and thanked LISCR FC for the deal. He promised to build the team to an entertaining and winning one that will keep the management and fans smiling.
“I will build this team and make it play like FC Barcelona,” Coach Lartey said.
Coach Lartey served as Deputy Coach for LISCR FC in the early 2000 before joining the BYC family.
He headed BYC II and BYC I, where he achieved several awards, including two times knockout champions, two times Super Cup, 2nd and 1st division championships, including the maiden Coca Cola Cup.
