The Liberia Football Association will host the first seminar for sports directors from the various universities and colleges from July 6-8 at the Antoinette Tubman Stadium in Monrovia.
CAF Education Officer Adrian Francis Tamba told the Daily Observer in an interview yesterday that the three-day seminar will be sponsored by the Liberia Football Association.
“We will be hosting the seminar for 25 sports directors from the various universities and colleges as part of the LFA’s support to develop that sector,” Coach Tamba said.
He said the LFA technical department is working out modalities, including registration for participants, to ensure a remarkable success.
Coach Tamba said during the three-day seminar, papers will be presented by several outfits, including the Ministry of Youth & Sports on its role in the development of sports in the country; the LFA will also present papers on its core duty as it relates to soccer development; as well as papers from Mr. Mathew Smith, Chairman on Varsity Football at the Liberia Football Association.
Lecturers, he said, would also include LFA technical director Henry Browne and deputy director Kaetu Smith.
He said the participants would be expected to be in full attendance to ensure that the objective of the seminar is met.
