Liberia 2nd in African Junior Athletics Championship

Liberia won a silver medal in high jump at the just ended African Junior Athletics Championship in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso.

Mr. Kadmiel Enders, 19, secured the second place in a tight race in the biennial competition which ran from Wednesday, the 2nd to Thursday, the 3rd of July 2014.

Enders is expected to represent Liberia in the World Junior Championship in USA, the World Youth Olympics in China and the African Senior Championship in July and August respectively.

Liberia’s second representative, Ms. Christine Julu 18, who participated in the 100m and 200m was among the first 10 countries to reach the finish line.

Meanwhile, the two kids were selected from amongst about 100 kids at this year’s National Open Championship, which took place in Monrovia at the Samuel K. Doe Sports Complex in Paynesville.
