One of the outstanding lawmakers at the 53rd National Legislature, Saah Joseph of District #13 will lead Montserrado County to the semi-finals against River-Gee County in a local self-styled County Meet on Wednesday, June 11.
Montserrado County defeated Sinoe on Sunday June 8, 2014 in a penalty shootout (4-3) to meet River-Gee and Gbapolu will clash with Grand Cape Mount County.
The matches are held at the New Georgia Gulf community sports ground. River-Gee defeated Bong 3-0 to secure its place.
In the Montserrado versus Sinoe’s game, lawmaker Saah Joseph played a much instructive role as he led series of goal-bound attacks against their opponents. His role was so inspiring that fans began to cheer for him whenever he came close to scoring.
However, he was tightly matched by Sinoe’s defenders and it was through the penalty kicks that the lawmaker made certain victory for his side was a foregone conclusion, scoring one of the goals.
Fans expect lawmaker Joseph to lead his side against River-Gee on Wednesday, June 11 against Tony Gain and Jimmy Doyan who scored in their 3-0 victory Bong County.
The competition kicked off early last month with teams representing 15 sub-divisions of the Republic of Liberia.
Montserrado County Players: Alex Flomo, Joseph Kobo, Luseni Kromah, Abraham Barry, Garlo Francis and Yaya Kromah, Saah Joseph, Samuel Thompson, Peter Samuel, Saytus Myers, and Edward Dean.
