Grand Gedeh LFA Sub-Association chairman Victor Bruce says he is impressed with the start of the county’s 3rd division soccer league and expressed optimism that the league would end on time.
He called on club officials to ensure that the league’s rules and laws are respected, and said his administration is determined to ensure the successful end of the league.
Bruce appealed to well-meaning Grand Gedeans to rally around the LFA Sub Association to promote the game in the county. “Don’t sit on the fence and expect development to come; please get involved so that we can achieve our objectives,” he added.
Many soccer fans in the county have expressed their frustration over the delay that affected the start of the league and have called for change in the leadership of the Sub-Association.
Meanwhile, on Saturday March 18, Farley FC enjoyed a 3-1 win over Zwedru United while God’s Power won 1-0 over Gedeh FC.
Speaking just after his side’s narrow win over Gedeh United, Mr. Youtoo Doewelh admitted that his side’s performance was not impressive after losing some senior players, but said they would come back strong in the future.
