The national under-17 soccer team will be facing the Ghana national Under-17 team, Black Starlets in their opening qualifier game ahead of next year’s African Cup of Nations.
The Ghana Under-17’s will first host their Liberia counterparts on the weekend of June 24-26 before heading to Monrovia for the return fixture the following weekend.
The winner of the two-leg encounter will then advance to face Burkina Faso in the second round of the qualification games. The Burkina U-17’s have been exempted from the round just as Ivory Coast, Nigeria, Angola, Cameroon, Congo, Ethiopia, Egypt, Gabon, Guinea, Mali, Mozambique, Niger, Senegal, South Africa, Tunisia and Zambia.
The second round has also been fixed for the weekend of August 5 -7 (first leg games) and August 19 -21 (second leg).
The final round of the qualifiers to the championship, which will be hosted by Madagascar has been set for September and October 2016.
