Credible sources at the Liberia Football Association say the President Cup tournament will go to the Antoinette Tubman Stadium.

This follows a recommendation from an ‘Investigating Committee” that the Blue Field is injurious to players.

The sources said the LFA has also annulled the results of the two games between Keitrace and Aries and traditional rivals IE and Barrolle, which ended 4-2 in a penalty shootout and 2-0 respectively.

The sources indicated that the President Cup would start afresh and last for eight days.

The tournament was interrupted over the weekend. There are 20 teams from the 1st, 2nd and female divisions participating.

The clubs complaint to the Liberia Football Association on Friday, May 15, that the venue of the games, the Blue Field, was not only injurious to players but also cost demanding as it destroys player materials.

When contacted last night the Secretary General of the LFA, Alphonso Armah said the decision about the changing of the venue for the tournament will be determined today.
