Lofa County’s lone and struggling 3rd division outfit, SAC FC, has unexpectedly crossed over to the 2nd division after a 2-2 pulsating draw against Rivercess County’s Paye FC on Monday at the Antoinette Tubman Stadium in Monrovia.
The green-and-blue boys in the opener on Thursday, 1 May, downed Joy Conquerors from Montserrado County, 3-2.
The Lofa boys qualified with four points out of two games from a three-member team in Group A.
Joy Conquerors FC sits second on Group A log with three points, while Paye FC has one point.
The Montserrado boys (Joy Conquerors) suffered their first defeat in the opener against SAC FC, 3-2 and convincingly whipped Paye FC 4-1 over the weekend.
In Group B’s battle, a decider match between No Bad Day FC of Montserrado County and Mighty Dragon FC from Bong County was on up to press time yesterday. Both teams shared six points, but a draw from the Montserrado could qualify, while the Kpatewe Boys need a win.
Young Pro-G FC and Grandcess FC, a game which is a mere mockery, would climax the day.
