BYC Football has signed two of Liberia’s musical talents: Quincy Burrowes (Quincy B) and Christopher Nyenga (Christoph the Change) to multi monthly-annual agreements where the rising rapper-artists will be the face of BYC Football with music. No financial terms will be disclosed and all terms are confidential per the artists’ request, a press release said yesterday.
Quincy B and Christoph will feature and promote BYC Football materials to the team’s increasing number of fans, and social media platforms. They two will individually and collectively represent BYC at local and international sporting and marketing events.
This collaboration came from the massive success of BYC Football early this year when both Christoph and Quincy B performed in Ganta that brought brought large audiences to the team’s series of soccer matches.
Lewiz McCarthy who heads BYC Football’s marketing remarks “While BYC is in no means going into the music business, this is both a win for BYC Football to expand its fan marketing base to those who enjoy football, though music is the priority. In addition it is a win for the artists, who now can expose their musical talents to the hardcore football fans.”
BYC Football most recently signed sponsorship collaboration with Snapper Hill Clinic (SHC), as the official provider of medical care to the team.
BYC Football lead medic Melvin Jerry said “with this new partnership with Snapper Hill clinic, and its close distance to Blue Field, we have significantly increased our ability to manage players on pitch injuries, and off pitch health issues like malaria. Snapper Hill has been excellent for us.”
BYC I currently tops the LFA 1st Division league table. Of the 6 available trophies for the LFA 2015 season, BYC Football captured three: 2015 Coca Cola Cup Champion (BYC-I), 2015 Super Cup Champion (BYC-I), 2015 LFA Cup Champions (BYC-II).
