The Antoinette Tubman Stadium was a scene of jubilation for supporters of FC Fassell Wednesday as the team edged out LPRC-Oilers 2-1 to qualify for the FA Cup finals.
The second semi-final FA Cup decider between NPA-Anchors and Watanga was in progress at press time and the winner will face FC Fassell.
FC Fassell fought a good fight and by the end of the 90 minutes, had the game at 1-1. The goals came within three minutes after FC Fassell got the opener that was cancelled by Soto Roberts of Oilers.
The game proceeded to extra time and FC Fassell got the winner three minutes in the second half of the last 15 minutes.
FC Fassell could have had the game wrapped up in its favor before the end of the 90 minutes but Oilers goalkeeper Saydee Kumohieh fought to deny them the chance.
It was not until FC Fassell took control of the game before the second goal came to give FC Fassell the winner.
