Former Information Minister Rev. Dr. Lawrence Bropleh has donated sporting materials to Kilo FC, a 3rd division team he is sponsoring in Buchanan, Grand Bassa County.
The items, donated over the weekend, included a set of jerseys and boots, among others.
Making the presentation Dr. Bropleh said, “We must dream to transform and develop the capacity of young people, which encouraged me to support the team.”
He assured officials of the Grand Bassa County LFA sub-association of his fullest support for the development of soccer through unity and reconciliation games in the county.
Receiving the items, the chairman of the Grand Bassa County LFA, Jeremiah B. Johnson, thanked Dr. Bropleh for the gesture.
He used the occasion to appeal to the county leadership and other goodwill personalities to emulate Dr. Bropleh’s gesture in order to help build the talents of young players who are preparing to play for the county.
The captain of Kilo FC, David Page, lauded Dr. Bropleh for the materials, and promised that they will make good use of them.
