Cece United Football Academy (CUFA) has added to its rank of officials a Canadian based Liberian coach, Ansumana Keita, as Technical Advisor and International Representative (Goodwill Ambassador) in the Americas.
According to the Chief Executive of CUFA, Pawala Janyan, the academy has been following the accomplishments of the grassroots football tactician for a long period and therefore decided to add him as a member of the academy to build its technical arm.
He said the addition of Keita to the academy will assist to provide technical knowledge, training, and guidance as well as soliciting international support and promoting the image of the institution in the Diaspora.
“We have no doubt that Coach Keita’s experience and international connections will be of great help to us as we continue to prepare the next generation of football talents and academic scholars in Liberia,” Janyan said.
In response to his appointment, Keita expressed gratitude to the academy and promised to work in the best interest of the kids at the academy.
Coach Keita, who is currently the Master Coach at the Paris Saint-German Academy in Canada, has worked in the grassroots football sector for over 15 years as technical director and coach.
“I’m very much honored to be appointed by Cece United as Technical Adviser and International Representative in the Americas. I accept and will do everything in my capacity to give back to the kids of my country,” Keita said.
Keita, who is also the Technical Director of FS SALABERRY of Canada since 2013, won the Canadian Championship (Ontario-Quebec) Cup in 2011 and 2013 as head coach of the U16 and U18 sides respectively.
He holds a UEFA B License from England, UEFA Youth Certificate from the Italian FA, Youth Coaching Certificate from Brazil, Mexico Youth Football Development Certificate, Technical Development Diploma from the Dutch FA, Technical Director Diploma from the Canadian Soccer Association, and National B License from the Canadian Soccer Association, among others.
The grassroots football tactician is one of the organizers of the pending Alphonso Armah Youth Football Tournament that is expected to kickoff on December 17 at the Antoinette Tubman Stadium.
