The Babylon Older Boys Football Club, dubbed BOB FC whipped Capitol Bye-Pass’s old-timer football giant, Genetics 3-1 on penalties at the G.W. Gibson sports pitch on Sunday.
The Logan Town based old-timer and social club settled to a 0-0 with the fallen giant and prevailed during the lottery shoot in a tournament organized by the Bukonjadeh Group of Companies in celebration of its 12th year anniversary.
BOB FC moved to the finals after she defeated Friends of Bukonjadeh Group of Companies 3-1 in the opener. Players Moses Williams, Harrison Frank and Solomon Boyon were on target for BOB FC while Ralph Sonkalay netted Bukonjadeh’s consolation goal.
In the second match, Jamaica Road Caucus bowed to Genetics 6-4. Boaka Jones scored a hat-trick, and William
Martor, Francis Grant and Jerry Johnson increased the tally. Kalifu Kromah scored for Jamaica Road Caucus, along with James Morris and Saah Harris.
The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Bukonjadeh Group of Companies, Mr. Elton Johns awarded a scholarship valued at LS$30,000 to BOB FC, while 1st and 2nd runners-up Genetics and Jamaica Road Caucus got L$20,000 and L$15,000 worth of scholarships.
Bukonjadeh Group of Companies was founded on April 27, 2007 and engaged in macro-financing and construction. Staffs at the House of Representatives and the Legislature, National Bureau of Concession and Governance Commission are some of the Group’s many clients.
