The Babylon Older Boys Football Club, dubbed BOB FC whipped Capitol Bye-Pass’s old-timer football giant, Genetics 3-1 on penalties at the G.W. Gibson Sports Pitch on Sunday.
The Logan Town’s based old-timer and social club team settled to a 0-0 with the fallen giant in a one-day and prevailed duringt the lottery shoot in a tournament organized by the Bukonjadeh Group of Companies in celebration of their 12th Year Anniversary.
BOB FC moved to the finals after she pinned the Friends of Bukonjadeh Group of Companies 3-1 in the opener. Players Moses Williams, Harrison Frank and Solomon Boyon were on target for BIOB FC while Ralph Sonkalay netted Bukonjadeh’s consolation goal.
In the second preliminary match, Jamaica Road Caucus bowed to Genetics 6-4. Boaka Jones scored hat-trick, and William Martor, Francis Grant and Jerry Johnson increased the tally. Kalifu Kromah scored a brace in Jamaica Road Caucus’s consolations as well as James Morris and Saah Harris.
The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Bukonjadeh Group of Companies, Mr. Elton Johns awarded a scholarship valued LS$30,00 to BIOB FC, while 1st and 2nd runners-up Genetics and Jamaica Road Caucus get L$20,000 and L$15,000 worth of scholarships.
The Bukonjadeh Group of Companies was founded on April 27, 2007 and engaged in macrofinancing and constructions.
