Mighty Barrolle’s Technical Director James Salinsa Debbah has disclosed that a budget of US$150,000.00 has been submitted to the administration for 15 topnotch players.
The former most celebrated star said his committee would retain at least the current 10 of the 19 players if the funds are available to buy the new players.
Debbah made the disclosure over the weekend during a game that former Barrolle players lost to the current team 4-0. Barrolle has just survived relegation to the 3nd division.
Ben Saydee, Frederick Cole, Waka Herron, John Brownell, Ivan Brown, Lewis Williams, Rufus Salue and Bill Hiah were among the old timers.
Popularly known as the Rollers and Kanyan Peppers Boys, Barrolle was once a top-rated club but has been out of the first-rate league for over two years.
As part of the re-building process, Madam Julia Duncan-Cassel remains president, while Atty Joyce Woods is vice president for administration and former Barrolle’s central defender Washington Blay serves as vice president for operations.
Also former goalkeeper D. Zoegar Wilson has been appointed vice president for foreign affairs and Ivan Brown (popularly known as Ahmeweh) is secretary general.
Meanwhile, 25 players received their monthly salary, including the technical staff and scratch cards were given to 19 players who helped the team to escape relegation to the 3rd division.
