Rep. Cole Donates US$200K Medical Consignments to CB Dunbar Hospital

Bong County Electoral District #3 Representative J. Marvin Cole has donated a huge assorted medical consignment to the CB Dunbar Hospital in Gbarnga, Bong County.

Situated in Gbarnga, C.B. Dunbar is the only specialized maternal hospital in rural Liberia. The hospital also caters to patients with maternal complications from border towns and villages within the Republic of Guinea.

Speaking at the donation ceremony of the medical supply on April 12, 2024, the Bong County Lawmaker said the drugs donated were intended to help buttress the effort of the Administration of the CB Dunbar Hospital in the County.

Rep. Cole noted that the donation is his way of touching the lives of the sick and the underprivileged people who often seek treatment at the hospital in the County.

The Bong County Lawmaker said the sole purpose of the donation is to give back to the needy in society, especially health entities, noting that the gesture is a shared commitment to serve humanity.

He further cautioned the Administration of the CB Dunbar Hospital to administer the drug to patients free of charge.

He placed the estimated cost of the medical supply as two hundred thousand United States Dollars.

The Bong County Lawmaker at the same time provided fifty thousand Liberian dollars for the inpatient feeding program and also made available an additional fifty thousand Liberian dollars for nurses at the hospital. 

For his part, the Medical Director of CB Dunbar Hospital in Gbarnga, Dr. Arthur Jones Wuoh, lauded Rep. Cole for the donation.

He further assured the people of Bong and the donor that the drugs donated would be used for the intended purpose.

The Medical Director of C.B. Dunbar Hospital, Dr. Arthur Jones Wuoh, encouraged other well-meaning citizens of the county, and organizations, to emulate the noble example of Rep. Cole in helping to push the county's healthcare agenda forward.

The presentation ceremony was graced by hospital staff, patients, and several onlookers.
