Pres. Weah Addresses 4th Paris Peace Forum Today

President George Manneh Weah will on today, Thursday, November 11, join French President Emmanuel Macron and other world leaders at the Fourth Edition of the Paris Peace Forum (PPF).

According to a press release from the Executive Mansion, the Liberian Chief Executive is expected to call on participants and delegates, including state and non-state actors, to engage in more cooperation for collective action.

The 2021 Paris Peace Forum is gathering the most important actors in global governance including Heads of State and Governments, Chief Executive Officers (CEO) of major multinationals, and civil society organizations, for a three-day event.

During the forum, President Weah will advance concrete suggestions to combat the enormous challenges posed by the COVID-19, and call on leaders to improve global governance in times of the pandemic.

On Friday, November 12, 2021, the Liberian Leader will also address the 41st Session of the United Nations Scientific Education and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) General Conference High-Level Segment and the 75th Anniversary of UNESCO in Paris.

President Weah is expected to buttress UNESCO’s Environmental Sustainability and Management Policy by highlighting the need to continually strengthen its eco-sustainable initiatives.

On the margins of the Paris Peace Forum, President Weah is expected to meet and hold bilateral and multilateral discussions with other world leaders, as well as engage the business community for possible investment in Liberia.
