Dear Mr. Editor:
Permit me space in your widely read newspaper, the Daily Observer, to express my thanks and appreciation to the great people of Webbo Chiefdom, for the successful elections just conducted, which resulted into the new corps of officers being elected. They are going to be responsible to transform the lives of the people of Webbo Chiefdom.
It may be recalled that “Webbo Nyaaken”, was recognized when Liberia was divided into provinces as the cradle of civilization and the southeastern provincial headquarters. Besides, it was rated as first among equals for outstanding Revenue collection, administrative and educational performance. However, despite this recognition years ago, the Chiefdom lacks development presently.
It is against this backdrop that citizens of this great land decided to organize a development association with the mandate to promote development. The Chiefdom consists of three clans: Kitoken, Gbokoken, and Douboken.
Some of the newly elected officers are Mr. Mark T. Wilson, president, Ms. Martina T. Collins, vice-president, G. Wah Bohlen as general secretary and Daniel Wilson as speaker.
We pray that God Almighty will give the elected officers the strength, power, and wisdom in the discharge of their duties. In the great cause of the people of Webbo Chiefdom and River Gee County, the struggle continues.
Very Truly Yours,
Isaac Ylogboh Bohlen
