Blaming the Liberian Government for Gyude Bryant's passing is lame and low class! Yes, Ellen's administration is inept (and corrupt) at everything!, but didn't Bryant died of natural causes (heart attack)? Of course, he did.
So why do you want us to believe that Bryant was "frustrated to death" because he wasn't awarded a government contract by the crooks at National Port Authority)??? (Re "Why Gyude Bryant Died: Neglected by Gol; Frustrated to Death")
Look, if corruption were a crime in Liberia, then 99.999999999997 percent of the transitional government officials under the Byrant regime (National Transitional Legislative Assembly) would be serving life sentences for stealing! (by the way, all NTLA members are required to wear orange jump suit and ride their stolen Jeep Cherokees at Bryant's funeral).
But this is no time to cast aspersion on a dead man. This morning, my mother-in-law warned me: "If you can't say something nice about Gyude, then don't say anything at all. The man is dead!" (Mammie Hunder, I hope you're not reading my email again!)
Gyude is gone now, and it's respectful that we put our arms around his grieving family and express our heartfelt condolences to them.
To Mr. Bryant's family, I say "nor ma yah".
May his soul rest in peace,
(Editor's Note: Finance Ministry sources informed the Observer that Chairman Bryant received an allowance of US$5,000 monthly.)
