Rural teachers, supporters aim for ‘one round victory’

Unity Party (UP) partisans last Thursday held a mini rally and solidarity campaign in Foya District #1, with pledges and financial contributions to support the party’s strategy for a one round victory at the October 10 polls.
UP standard bearer Joseph Boakai lauded the determination of ordinary Liberians exhibited by their active involvement in the campaigns leading up to the elections.

Boakai urged UP supporters assembled in the Tamba Lamin Taylor Council Hall in Foya City to continue the momentum of their support and translate their commitment into votes on October 10. He urged his supporters to consider him and others on the bases of integrity, honesty, mature stewardship and leadership that have the nation and its people at heart.

“We have come to the 2017 presidential race with a wealth of experience, sound leadership ability and with the practical vision to move Liberia to another level,” he said. “I believe that with our past clean record, 42 years of sound and untainted public service, our nation can once again have concrete hope in our ability to deliver genuine development for all citizens.”
