A group under the banner of Friends of Jimmy N. C. Bokay has donated 20 bags of cement to two youth projects in Sanniquellie, Mahn District, Nimba County Electoral District #2.
The Friends of Jimmy N. C. Bokay (FJNCB) recently provided two bags of rice and 10 gallons of gas to the Sanniquellie-Mahn District soccer team that is currently taking part in the county’s district league.
The group was established to promote the political interests of Mr. Bokay, a prominent son of the district, who intends to contest for its lone representative seat.
During the presentations of donations to the Nimba County District #2 soccer team and the Sanniquellie-Sehkyee Youth Projects, Mr. Bokay said it was the group’s way of giving back to the community.
The Sanniquellie Youth Project is a multi-purpose building being constructed by young people in Sanniquellie City while the Sehkyee Youth Project is a hall also under construction. When completed, the hall will serve as a place to conduct meetings and discuss matters relating to the growth and development of the district.
Mr. Bokay said the donation is intended to also enhance development in the district which, according to him, contributed greatly to his success.
He promised to provide additional support to the two projects and other initiatives in the district.
Mr. Bokay lauded the young people in the district for initiating the projects and challenged them to focus on meaningful things that will help lift their community.
He also urged them to desist from vises that will undermine the district, noting they need to take their education seriously.
