River Gee County District #1 Representative aspirant, Madam Gertrude J. Teah, has admonished members of the Sarbo Women Development Association (SWDA) from the county, to concentrate on positive ideas that would enhance social growth and development.
Madam Teah made the statement recently when she served as a guest speaker at the induction ceremony of the Sarbo Women Development Association’s members (SWDA) in Monrovia.
Madam Teah said positive thinking could result to development in the county, if every River Gee citizen would sacrifice to help the development of the county.
“As a result of our condition due to other factors we yearn for people who can bring us positive changes. Since it is our desire to have the needed positive changes, it is left with us to combine our collective ideas to help us,” she told SWDA officials.
She said further told the leaders to be responsible and must seek the welfare of the members of the organization by working with them and sharing ideas in line with their common goals.
Madam Teah therefore called on SWDA’s leaders to carefully examine situations before endorsing them to ensure that what they do would have positive results and improve on the lives of their members.
For her part, the president of the SWDA, Eva Johnson Sando thanked members of the organization for electing her to lead them and appealed for their support.
Madam Sando said her administration would always listen to the members and therefore encouraged them to make themselves to participate in events that would build the organization.
Those elected were Eva Johnson Sando, president; Elleh Weah, vice president; Theresa K. Kuo, speaker; Julee M.D. Nyemoh, general secretary; Gessay C. Toe, financial secretary; Oretha Popu, chaplain; Betty Quaye, treasurer; Beatrice J. K. Quaye, publicity chairperson; and Theresa Williams, assistant publicity chairperson.
