Red Light Market Endorses Benoni Urey

The leadership of the Red Light Central Market last Friday endorsed Presidential candidate Benoni Urey of the All Liberia Party (ALP) following a petition ceremony.

Responding to the marketers’ support of his quest for the 2017 presidential and legislative elections, Urey expressed appreciation to them “for the many years you have sustained me.”

“Together, we have begun a political journey to transform our country. Together, we will continue the fight to create a government which represents all Liberians, and not just a few; a government based on the principles of discipline, patriotism and equity,” Mr. Urey assured them.

He added, “I have come across thousands of people at smaller gatherings, where I learn a profound lesson from all of the attendees, which is that this election is not about Benoni Urey, or any other candidate contesting for the presidency; rather, this election is about the needs of the Liberian people and addressing the very serious issues that cause them.”

The political leader of ALP told the marketers that “With your support today, I promise to work with you all to ensure a better future for our children and our children’s children.”
