Red Cross Chapter Elects New Leaders in Bassa

The Grand Bassa County chapter of the Liberian National Red Cross Society (LNRCS) has elected a new corps of officers to steer the affairs of the Chapter for the next four years.

Those elected are Madam O.Telmah Z. Myers, chairperson; G. Emmanuel Giddings, 1st vice chairperson; Rev. Peter Davies, 2nd vice chairperson; Lawrence McCauley, 3rd vice chairperson; Aaron B. Pailey, treasurer; and Buaty Yujay Lee, youth representative.

Mr. William K. Jorkay, the elections chairman who earlier announced the results, congratulated the officers-elect for their preferment.

He urged them to be committed in the discharge of their respective duties for the growth of the Chapter.

On behalf of her fellow officers-elect, Chairperson Myers commended members of the Chapter for choosing them to lead the organization.

She called for cordial working relations among them and the national office for the betterment of society.

She promised that they will uphold the policies of the LNRCS and the confidence reposed in them.


  • Born unto the union of Mr. & Mrs. Johnson Tamba on May 16. Graduated from the Salvation Army School System " William Booth high school" in 2006/2007 academic year. He also went to the Young Men Christian Association (YMCA) computer program, where he graduated with a diploma in computer literate in 2008. He is now a senior student of the University of Liberia, Civil engineering department, reading Civil engineering. He is in a serious relationship with Mercy Johnson and has a junior boy name, Otis Success Johnson, born 2016, March 29.
