The membership committee of the Press Union of Liberia (PUL) reminds journalists and media institutions of the Union’s annual membership registration and accreditation process, which started October 25 and runs up to November 26.
A release yesterday said there will be no extension of the accreditation period as a final membership roster will be published in February in keeping with the PUL’s Constitution.
The release said only members who will update their membership and are in good moral standing with the Union will be accredited for the Congress in Buchanan, Grand Bassa County.
The PUL meanwhile urged all members and those seeking membership to upgrade their personal information as part of the membership reactivation scheme. Institutional members will be certificated at the end of the registration in November.
The release, signed by Acting Secretary General, Daniel Nyakonah, said members can get their application forms from the PUL’s website. Journalists in rural areas are advised to attach a clear passport size photo (and an affixed signature on a separate sheet) to the form. New members are advised to attach a membership application letter addressed to the Acting Secretary General.
Those in rural communities desirous of taking up membership with the Press Union of Liberia can do so by contacting: Clarence Jackson on 0886458902, the leadership of ALICOR on 0886593090/974428 and Kennedy Domah on 0886481724
Individual membership registration fee is U$10; associate members registration is US$5 while institutional membership is U$100. Meanwhile, dues payments are an important membership obligation to the PUL. For further information call 0886235395 or 0770166781, the release said.
