President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf arrives home today from Durban, South Africa after participating in the 10th General Assembly of the International Agency for the Prevention of Blindness (IAPB).
According to an Executive Mansion release, President Sirleaf will upon arrival attend a thanksgiving service at the United Methodist Church on Ashmun Street, Monrovia. Today is the eve of her 78th birthday,
President Sirleaf left the country last Tuesday to attend the IAPB, a global alliance of civil society organizations, corporate and professional bodies promoting eye health through advocacy, knowledge and partnerships.
The theme of the 10th General Assembly was ‘stronger together.’
The Minister of Justice Frederick Cherue served as Coordinator of the Cabinet in consultation with Vice President Joseph Boakai while the President was out of the country.
