President Sirleaf Congratulates Lebanon

President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf has sent a message of congratulations to the Government and people of the Republic of Lebanon on the occasion marking the 73rd Independence Anniversary of that country on November 22.

Lebanon gained independence on November 22, 1943. The day is celebrated to commemorate the country’s liberation from the French Mandate, after 23 years of mandatory rule.

According to a Foreign Affairs Ministry release, President Sirleaf, on behalf of the Government and people of Liberia extended warmest congratulations and best wishes in her message to the Acting President of the Republic of Lebanon, Mr. Tammam Salam.

President Sirleaf hoped that their two countries will continue to collaborate within the context of economic cooperation and social development.


  • Born unto the union of Mr. & Mrs. Johnson Tamba on May 16. Graduated from the Salvation Army School System " William Booth high school" in 2006/2007 academic year. He also went to the Young Men Christian Association (YMCA) computer program, where he graduated with a diploma in computer literate in 2008. He is now a senior student of the University of Liberia, Civil engineering department, reading Civil engineering. He is in a serious relationship with Mercy Johnson and has a junior boy name, Otis Success Johnson, born 2016, March 29.
