President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf has in keeping with tradition, officially commissioned three newly appointed and confirmed Cabinet Members, and two Ambassadors to the Republics of Sierra Leone and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, respectively.
According to an Executive Mansion release, those commissioned were George Werner, Minister of Education; Dr. Bernice Dahn, Minister of Health; and William Gyude Moore, Minister of Public Works.
The others were Jarjar M. Kamara, Ambassador to Sierra Leone and Dr. Brahima Diakity Kaba, Ambassador to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Performing the commissioning ceremony, President Sirleaf challenged her officials to assume their new roles with a sense of dedication and set achievable goals that will make them good examples as Dr. Walter Gwenigale. Dr. Gwenigale has now retired as health minister.
President Sirleaf called on the commissioned officials to be strong and courageous, honest, respect all but take disrespect from no one.
In separate remarks, Minister Werner and Dr. Dahn thanked the President for the confidence reposed in them to serve the country.
