Former Minister of Information, Cultural Affairs and Tourism, Rev. Dr. Lawrence Bropleh, has appealed to Liberians to practice high degree of gratitude with better attitudes.

Rev. Dr. Bropleh made the utterance last Sunday at a Pastor Appreciation Day program at the Mount Galilee United Methodist Church, in Lower Harlandsville Township, outside Buchanan City, in Grand Bassa County.

Rev. Dr. Bropleh,  who preached on the theme: “Gratitude with  Better Attitudes,” from Galatians 6:6-10 called on Christians, especially Liberians to share all good things  they have with each other without any form of discrimination so that God can bless and reward them.

“Be not deceived. God is not mocked, for whatsoever a man soweth that
shall he also reaps,” he said.

He urged Liberians to be generous and hospitable as well as being dedicated and committed to love and share with their fellowmen for oneness in Jesus Christ and should not only do for public sentiment, but must do good for people to consider them to be Christian.

He cautioned Liberians not to join other people to talk evil against their leaders and fellow men especially those who have previously done well for them.

“Be your brother’s keeper,” he said, “in time of trials, temptations and tribulations in order to fulfill the law of Christ. When one thinks about himself and no one else, when he is nothing, deceives himself, therefore we must desist from selfishness and practice ‘general spirit with generosity”

During the colorful occasion, 13 pastors of the church received honors of appreciation for their devotion and numerous contributions toward the church.

On behalf of his fellow honorees, Rev. G. Roosevelt Goah, Sr. acting pastor and superintendent of the St. John River district of the United Methodist Church Liberia Annual Conference (UMC-LAC) thanked officials and members of church for remembering their contributions towards the upliftment of the church during the year under review.

The honorees were later pinned and given gifts by their respective relatives and friends from various departments of the church
