An investigative report on the January 9 tussle between some officers of the Executive Protection Service (EPS) and the Liberia National Police (LNP) was yesterday presented to President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf, an Executive Mansion release said.

It may be recalled that during the funeral of fallen Ambassador Rudolph von Ballmoos on Saturday, January 9, 2016, a tussle ensued between the EPS and officers assigned to Police Director Chris Massaquoi.

President Sirleaf, according to the release, will present and discuss the report with a select team of the National Security Council to derive a consensus on the implementation of the recommendations contained in the Investigative Report.

Shortly she received the report, President Sirleaf then thanked the 3-member Investigative Committee headed by Cllr. T. Max Duncan, renowned Catholic Sister Mary Laurene Browne, and Attorney Alvin T. Jalloh for executing the Presidential directive to investigate the January 9 incident between the two security forces.
