Authorities of the Omega Insurance Company on Friday, July 6, at the company’s head office in Sinkor, presented a cheque valued L$2,063,000 to 50 clients that are ensured with the company. The exercise was part of the company’s five years endowment policy plan, which covered the clients.

The presentation ceremony brought together the beneficiaries and their relatives who expressed gratitude as the insured received their respective endowment benefits.

The amount was disbursed among the 50 clients, each according to his or her premium. Some of them received a cheque of L$63,500, while others took home a cheque of L$35,970 among other amounts.

Assistant Life Manager at Omega Insurance, Pauline B. Wilson, said the decision by the company was to initiate and maintain long-term professional relationships with clients in pursuit of quality risk management solutions through reliable and professional underwriting at a fair price.

Mrs. Wilson said based on that, Omega will continue to deliver a sustained return on investment, quality service and prompt payment to its clients.

She said that Omega, as the most experienced company in the country’s insurance industry, “we pay for both life and non-life to our clients.”

Mrs. Wilson said, while other insurance companies just pay for death benefits, Omega Insurance, has a 15-year endowment policy, which covered its clients, “but after five years a client purchased the premium, we pay 25% of self-insured clients; after 10 years again, we pay 25% and at the end of the period, we pay additional 50%, which closes the policy,” Mrs. Wilson said.

“Today, we want to say that any an insurance company, who pay claims to their clients, is a very good insurance company and Omega is a number one when it comes to paying claims to its customers,” said Mrs. Wilson.

She said though they are faced with challenges in the industry in so many ways, yet and still, “we are here today to pay claims to about 50 individual clients. We know that you all have been inpatient, but this is the right time, because we know that the 26 Independence Day celebration is just around the corner. This is why Omega decided to take this step to make you all happy.”

Cllr. Cyril Jones, Chairman of the Board Directors, lauded the management of the company for meeting the needs of their clients. “This is a win-win deal when you pay your money, you don’t have to wait until you die before Omega gives back some of your money. We want to surely prove that this is genuine cause that we will be there for you,” Cllr. Jones told the elated clients.

“Once you are insured with our company, we make you eat some of your money, while you are still alive. We don’t wait for you to die before we spend the money on a funeral. So eat this money while you are alive,” said Cllr. Jones to the clients.

He informed them that the company is also doing life and non-life insurance policies, therefore, he called on other potential customers to make Omega Insurance as one of their best insurance providers.

Gajay Ananaba, Chief Operations Officer, who presented the cheques to the beneficiaries on behalf of the president, Mr. Charles Ananaba, reaffirmed their commitment that their clients will receive the best policies and benefits to remain happy.
