Dr. Philip Ireland (center, with mic): "We hold nothing against him; we want nothing from him."

— Says the Ireland family

Dr. Philip Ireland, the father of late Precious Ireland, has said the family has forgiven 16-year-old Jovanus Turay, who shot and killed his daughter at the Cyber-Ed Christian School.

Speaking at the funeral of Precious at the Harvest Intercontinental Ministries Cathedral in Congo Town earlier today, Dr. Ireland chose to bless Jovanus and said the Ireland family needs nothing from the lad.

“We hold nothing against him, we don’t want anything from him, no blood for blood. Liberia has seen enough of this. We forgive him and pray he becomes a better father, a better husband, and a better child.”

The victim, Precious Ireland, is the daughter of Dr. Philip Ireland, a physician at the John F. Kennedy Memorial Hospital and survivor of the deadly Ebola virus in 2014.

The young Ireland, who was 14, met her untimely death during the early morning hours of April 14, while hanging out with schoolmates including Jovanus Oliver Turay who shoots her dead with a 9-millimeter pistol on the premises of the Cyber-Ed Christian School of Excellence in Sophie Community, Congo Town.

In a press release after the shooting, the school said “a student brought a handgun to school this morning,” Cyber-Ed Christian School said in a statement issued yesterday. “While a majority of the students were eating breakfast in designated locations, this student slipped away to show off the gun to a friend and it accidentally went off. Staff, emergency medical personnel, Police, and all responded quickly. P Regrettably, the student did not survive the shooting.”

Meanwhile, the Ireland family disputed the school narrative that the shooting leading to the death of their daughter was accidental in the absence of a full police investigative report and demand an apology. The Ireland family also disclosed that they are going to demand that the police charge Turay as an adult instead of a juvenile.

“We are not making a conclusion at the moment because we obviously know that the act was untimely,” said Atty. Maxwell Grisby, an uncle of the deceased. “Such gruesome killing will not go unpunished, but I don’t how that will happen. So we will give all of our full support to this case.”

Much to the consternation of the Ireland family and others who knew and loved Precious, the funeral is being held in the absence of the final report of the Liberia National Police investigation, even though sources suggest that the investigation was concluded more than a week ago.

According to Justice Minister Musa Dean, he has not yet seen the report from the investigation; therefore, as far as he is concerned, the investigation is still ongoing.

However, it remains unclear how and from where Jovanus Turay obtained the fire-arm, whether owned by his parent(s) or someone somewhere outside of the home. Turay, an avid freestyle rapper, is seen in a Facebook photo handling a single barrel rifle, which suggests that he has some experience with operating firearms.

Another burning follows, who exposed Jovanus,16 to firearms? Was it his father, mother, his mother’s boyfriend, or someone outside of the family?

Another Facebook photo shows Turay and Precious Ireland in a side hug, suggesting that they might have been somewhat close friends, perhaps close enough for him to confide in her details related to how he obtained a firearm.

And while Jovanus’ mother, Joan Saah, told investigators that the homicide weapon belonged to Lauvette A. Williams, Sr., her deceased consort, who was a customs broker, the family of the late Mr. Williams has denied that the man ever owned a gun.

In a statement signed by Hester Williams and Shirley Williams Awadje, the Williams family unequivocally denied the allegation, stressing that the deceased was a law-abiding and peace-loving man who spent his entire life serving humanity in his church (The Little White Chapel).

The shooter’s father, Sylvanus Turay, in a Facebook video a few weeksago, condemned his son’s action and pleaded with the victim’s family for forgiveness.

Turay furthered that his family is horrified; heartbroken, and disappointed just like the Ireland’s families who lost their daughter. The suspect’s father who is a career actor, said his family and the Ireland family are very close and his son did not mean to kill Precious.

“Well, I had the privilege to talk to my son. There are two things he said to me: Daddy, please talk to the Irelands for me, and I want you to know that my son regrets the incident and everything that happened,” Turay noted.

  1. The parents of that murderer Jovanus Oliver Turay …Josia Turay and Sylvanus Turay are very reckless and extremely bad parents. How can you see your child fancying with killing people for so long and you argue that it is fun for your son and a hobby which makes him happy, hence you see nothing wrong with such unruly and satanic hobby!

To add insult to injury, the mother Josia went on shamelessly and satanicly lying on an innocent and very pious dead man that he owned the gun her son used to intentionally kill an innocent little girl! And then the insensitive wayward father Sylvanus Turay had the audacity to insult the public that those criticizing the bad conduct of that criminal ”are been carried away.”

Josia and Sylvanus, you are bad parents. If you had trained your child that killer in the right way, he would have not loaded a gun and would have not taken the loaded gun to school, not to talk about shooting and killing another student simply because she was giving him the advice the both of you very bad parents refused to give your son the criminal and murderer.

  2. A peaceful moment for reflection and forgiveness and for closure. Take your forgiveness to the Almighty God and asked for strength in your moment of closure.

  3. No amount of finger pointing can bring back the kid, what happened to that kid could have happened to anyone, it’s unfortunate and regrettable, the Father of little Precious have spoken and that is it.

  4. Precious is now with her Heavenly Father. May Her Precious Soul Rest In Peace ☮️. Wishing the [Grieving-Family] God’s Speed.

  5. Did Jesus teach reincarnation?
And as Jesus passed by, he saw a man which was blind from his birth. And his disciples asked him, saying, Master, who did sin, this man, or his parents, that he was born blind? John 9 @ verses 1 to 2.

Clearly, only if one already accepted the idea of a previous life could the question be asked whether the child born blind had himself sinned. Obviously, if the child was born blind he could not have possibly sinned in this lifetime. Thus, either he sinned in another lifetime before this or he was born blind because of some transgression of his parents, or both.

Well, no wonder THE BHAGAVAD GITA says …As a man, casting off warn out garments, taketh new ones, so the dweller in the body, casting off worn out bodies, entereth into others that are new …For sure is the death of him that is born, and sure the birth of him that is dead. Therefore, over the inevitable though shouldst not grieve.

And these supra are summed up by Jeremiah in Jeremiah 1 .4 when he thunderforth that THE WORD OF THE LORD CAME UNTO ME SAYING, BEFORE I FORMED THEE….I KNEW THEE. AND BEFORE THOU CAMEST FORTH…..I SANCTIFIED THEE, AND ORDAINED THEE A PROPHET.

No wonder in order to keep the human spirit in a sort of prison, in 533 AD, the belief in reincarnation was outlawed at the Second Synod Council of Constantinople under the influence of the Emperor Justinian. The council decided, without the the attendance of the Pope, that IF ANYONE ASSERT THE FABULOUS PRE EXISTENCE OF SOULS AND SHALL SUBMIT TO THE MONSTROUS DOCTRINE THAT FOLLOWS IT, LET HIM BE …EX COMMUNICATED.

The monstrous doctrine according to those other bunch of rascals was the fact that we live forever on an eternal journey of evolution through experience and we are all responsible for our actions and omissions in this physical life or the future one.

In other words, the acceptance of reincarnation took away the power of the heaven or hell rap to frighten people into been obedient to ecclesiastical authorities, and making sure to paying tithes and paying offerings.

To the great Ireland family, we say THE LORD GIVETH THE LORD TAKETH, BUT BLESSED BE THE NAME OF OUR GOD JEHOVAH GOD ALLAH THE MERCIFUL, GLAYPOH, GALA, NYESWAH, YAWEI, OR GLORBAH!

HENCE, TAKE HEART IN GOD and in JEREMIAH 1. 4, JOHN 11 @ VERSES 25, JOHN 5 @ VERSE 24, 1 ST CORINTHIANS 15@VERSES 51 TO 53, ETC. , WHILE KNOWING IN THIS HOUR OF GRIEF, THAT PRECIOUS IS BOUND TO RETURN TO YOU!!! FOR EVERY SOUL RETURNS TO HIS OR HER RIVER …THE FAMILY! JUST AS EVERYHING RETURNS TO ITS SOURCE AS FAR AS CONCERNS THE LAW OF NATURE AND THE LAW OF GOD!!!!!!!!!!

  6. But why is Josia Saah (the mother of that murderer Jovanus Oliver Turay) keep on hiding her face from the public, since according to her, her killer son is not a bad person? She refused to be part of the photos taken at the funeral, or she deliberately never attended the funeral so as to not be seen by the public. VERY VERY BAD MOTHER!

In her interview with FPA she concealed her face but chose to wear a big lappa to feign humility and good motherhood, after spreading dangerous lies against a dead man, and defending her very spoiled and very bad offspring who ended up committing the crime of murder.
