Nimba Female Aspirant Vows to Boost Education, Others

A female representative aspirant of Nimba County Electoral District #2, Ms Moima Kamara, has vowed to boost education and psycho-social therapy if elected to the post, in 2017.

Ms Kamara spoke to the Daily Observer in Ganta on Friday, August 26. She said her district has not benefited from a better education system since Liberia began enjoying over10 years of peace.

She explained that the education system in her district and the county needs to prioritized, because of the lack of library, laboratory and even a playground that will reduce stress from school going kids.

She added that education for the children needs to be taken seriously, because the children are the future leaders of the country.

Ms. Kamara promised to create an avenue where people will undergo psycho-social therapy that should have been provided after the war.

She is the only female among the seven aspirants including the incumbent, Representative Prince Tokpah, vying for the district #2, which is Sanniquellie, Nimba County’s most political center.

Ms Moima kamara is a resident of Sanniquellie. She has been involved in many recreational activities, including the establishment of the cultural dancing group in recent times.

According to her, the intention is to take children from the streets and make them useful in the society.

“Some of our priorities will be women and youth empowerment, and caring for the elderly,” she asserted.

However, the political field in Nimba continues to fill up daily, due to the incumbent’s failure to identify with the electorates by responding to their needs.
