A newly constructed bridge and road rehabilitation project in District #12, Montserrado County, will on Friday, April 29, be dedicated, the project coordinator has confirmed.
The bridge and the road will connect residents of Chicken Soup Factory with those in the Stephen A. Tolbert Estate community.
The projects, valued at over US$45,287, were undertaken by the “Friends of Dr. George Beyan Samah,” to ease the decades-long transportation difficulties faced by residents of the two communities.
“This bridge project will help our motorcyclists, market women and school going kids, because it will overcome the huge traffic congestion along the Somalia Drive,” the chairman of the Friends, Fedesco F. Lamah, said.
“The dedication ceremony,” according to Lamah, “will start at 9:00 a.m. at the Gethsemane Church located in the Chicken Soup Factory community.”
The friendship has invited several prominent individuals including Public Works Minister, Gyude Moore to grace the occasion, he added.
