The leadership of the Mano River Union Youth Parliament (MRUYP) Liberia-Chapter has embraced the appointment of Teeko Tozay Yorlay, as Assistant Minister for Youth Development at the Ministry of Youth and Sports.
According to MRUYP Speaker Melvin Sarh, the appointment of Yorlay, who was recently removed as Development Superintendent of Nimba County, does not only come at a time when the Parliament seeks the entry of additional members of its erstwhile parliamentarians in Government, but also clearly demonstrates the good public service record of Yorlay.
Yorlay once served as the first Deputy Speaker of the first Mano River Union Youth Parliament Liberia-Chapter.
The Parliament thanked President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf for reappointing Yorlay to continue to serve the youth and student community of Liberia.
The MRUYP leadership has meanwhile called on its present parliamentarians to consider the two successive appointments of Yorlay as motivational and an incentive to increasing their service delivery to young people.
