The Monrovia City Court at the Temple of Justice in Monrovia has issued an arrest warrant for William Freeman (pictured) , who is charged with criminal attempt to commit murder for allegedly assaulting (beating) his wife, Christine R.N. Dennis Freeman, so severely her backbone was reportedly broken.
The incident, according to court’s record, occurred on May 13.
Defendant Freeman was also charged with aggravated assault. He, meanwhile, remains at-large, for which the court has alerted the international police (Interpol) to have him arrested should they find him anywhere outside of the country.
The arrest order contained a report that alleged that on May 13, Freeman violently beat his wife to the point that she sustained wounds all over her body, causing her to bleed
profusely from her private part.
The document claimed that in an attempt to murder the victim, it was suspected that defendant Freeman broke the victim’s backbone, thereby rendering her disabled.
“The alleged act of the defendant is unlawful and illegal, because it is in total violation of section 10.1 and 14.20 of the New Penal Law,” the record alleged.
Meanwhile Mrs. Freeman has been flown to the United States where she is currently undergoing medical treatment.
The court is yet to establish the details surrounding the incident since the alleged perpetrator has reportedly gone into hiding.
