Man Beats Wife to Death in River Cess

A man identified as Joseph Tarr has been arrested by police and is under investigation for allegedly beating his wife, Rebecca Morris Tarr, to death in Barbey-Geeseh Kayah Town, River Cess County.

Area Chief Philip Ben, a chief in the area, said he informed police officers in Cestos City that on the fateful day, Joseph Tarr was whipping his stepdaughter, Naomi, when Rebecca stepped in to plead for mercy. She was also physically assaulted by Tarr.

‘’During the attack, Tarr told Rebecca he did not want to see Naomi at the house, but she had refused to obey him,” Chief Ben explained.

According to the Chief, it was alleged that Joseph Tarr’s repeated kicks to Rebecca’s stomach rendered her unconscious. She was rushed to the nearby health center where she was later pronounced dead.

She has since been buried; and Tarr is to face prosecution.
