Police in Ganta are investigating the mysterious drowning of a 54-year old man identified as Edward Doloquee in Yeibo Town, Garr Clan, Nimba County.
According to sources of the police detail assigned in Ganta, the Late Dologuee had been missing since August 15, but was found dead in a creek around Loquipea Village, which is located in the distant Yarpea Clan.
There was no report of any arrests up to press time last night, but police are reportedly conducting an investigation into circumstances that led to the alleged drowning of Mr. Dologuee.
“The man got drowned in a creek far from Yeibo in another area, but we are still investigating how he got there and how he drowned,” Nimba County Crime Services Division (CSD) officer, who asked not to be named, disclosed.
In a related development, on August 7, a 7-year old girl mysteriously went missing at the center of Gbao Gwelay Town in the Zoe Gbar Administrative District while in search of her mother, who reportedly left her to fetch fire wood that fateful morning.
Up to the present, the little girl is yet to be found as search continues in all of the neighboring towns of Gwehlay.
