Residents of Zwedru City, Grand Gedeh County, early Sunday morning woke up to hear the astonishing news of the death of a 24 year old man, identified as Jenkins Kyne, whose body was discovered in front of a house in Telecom Community.

The late Kyne, according to residents in the area, was familiar to them because he was always in the Community and surrounding areas in search of work.

Madam Mamie Zeh, owner of the house where the body was found, explained that Jenkins routinely asked her for “a contract to brush the yard and fetch water.”

She, however, disclosed that Kyne visited her house early Sunday morning asking for food. She said she offered him gari, which Kyne refused “and instead asked for rice.”

Madam Zeh said that an hour later, she noted that Kyne was no longer breathing, at which time she started calling for help.

Unconfirmed reports say Kyne was assaulted in Niao Community, allegedly for robbery.

However, there was no evidence of foul play on his body, as reported by a seven-man coroner jury, witnessed by the Liberian National Police detachment in Zwedru.

It may be recalled that a week ago another man, identified as Amos Amofah, was discovered dead at the Zwedru central parking station.

He was found in the morning and was buried later in the evening because no one claimed his body.
