Defendant Obediah Logan, the man caught in possession of two voter registration cards with identification numbers 74198541 and 766321587 during the December 26 runoff election, has been charged and forwarded to the Monrovia City Court for trial.
Authorities of the Liberia National Police (LNP) claimed that the cards had Logan’s name and photo on them, for which they charged him with fraudulent registration.
The incident, the court document alleges, occurred on December 26 at the Love a Child Orphanage Home in District #1, Margibi County.
The record further alleges that Logan obtained the first Voter Registration Card (VRC) from polling Precinct #24106 at the Rock Institute, Rock Church Community, in District #1, Margibi County.
Again, the document claims, Logan obtained the second VRC at voting Precinct #30309 at the Love a Child Orphanage Home in the same district.
“Logan’s action to obtain the two VRC marked voter identification numbers 74198541 and 766321587 was done criminally and we charged him with offenses related to registration cards in violation of Chapter 10 sub-chapter 10.2 (2) paragraph (b) and (c) of the Penal Law of Liberia,” the document indicated.
