The national chairman for the opposition Liberia Party’s (LP) Brumskine Youth Movement (BYM) has appointed a new corps of leadership to steer the affairs of the movement in the five electoral districts of Grand Bassa County.
Onesimus James made the appointment recently at the party’s local office in Buchanan.
Those appointed are Abraham K. Jones, chairman; Shadrack Taycar, co-chairman for administration; Blessing Freeman, secretary general; and Isaiah Tarr, treasurer.
Others are Francis Z. Myers, co-chairman for mobilization and recruitment; Kamara Donzo, financial secretary; Emmanuel Johnson, co-chairman for operations; and Solomon Joe, public relations officer.
Mr. James urged the appointees to be committed and exhibit good leadership ability in the discharge of their respective duties to promote the interest of the movement.
He told them to defend the by-laws, constitution and policies of the movement to ensure that Cllr. Brumskine wins the upcoming presidential elections.
Abraham K. Jones, on behalf of the appointees, commended Mr. James for appointing them to steer the affairs of the movement in the county. He promised that the appointed officers will uphold the confidence reposed in them.
He said since their recent appointments, they have visited the five electoral districts in the county and recruited over 400 new members.
