Liberian Engineer Benjamin M. Tetteh, Is Dead


With profound regrets, the death is announced of Mr. Benjamin Mensah Tetteh, an engineer. He passed away on March 5, 2021, after a brief period of illness. Born July 6, 1934, he was in his 87th year.

Tetteh attended the College of West Africa but later graduated from SDA Konola Academy in Konola, Margibi County.

He obtained his undergraduate degree from the University of Liberia in 1958, having majored in Physics, with a Mathematics minor. Tetteh earned his masters degree at the American University of Beirut, Lebanon in 1961 and matriculated to the Technical University in Berlin, Germany, where he earned an MSc in Architectural Engineering.  

Benjamin was married to Gesiela Tetteh and the union was blessed with two children Adom and OtuTetteh.

He is survived by his wife Gesiela, his children Adom and Out Tetteh, nephews, nieces, grand children and a hosts of other relatives in Ghana and other parts of the world.

Funeral services will be said over the remains of the late Benjamin Mensah Tetteh at the Chapel of the Samuel A. Stryker Funeral Parlors on Saturday, March 13, 2021 at 11:00 Clock a.m. The service will be followed by interment at the Congo Town back road cemetery.
