The Liberia Chamber of Commerce (LCC) has announced the funeral arrangements for Cllr. David A.B. Jallah, former Dean of the Louis Arthur Grimes School of Law at the University of Liberia.
Cllr. Jallah, affectionately known as ‘Dean Jallah,’ will be laid to rest on Saturday, June 16, in the Port City of Buchanan, Grand Bassa County.
Cllr. Jallah passed away on the morning of Monday, May 20, when he fainted and was rushed to the Redemption Hospital. There, doctors pronounced him dead upon arrival. He was 67.
A statement issued on Tuesday, June 12, under the signature of Ms. SalaMartu Stephanie Duncan, secretary general of the LCC, said that they received several phone calls from sympathizers and friends regarding the funeral of Cllr. Jallah.
“Although the information isn’t available on TLC Africa’s website (death announcement), we were able to speak with several members of Cllr. Jallah’s family and a representative from his law firm to confirm the following information,” Ms. Duncan said in the statement.
On Friday, June 15, wake-keeping will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the Trinity Episcopal Church, on Broad Street.
On Saturday, June 16, funeral rites will take place at the same venue from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., followed by interment of the remains which will be done in Grand Bassa County.
Meanwhile, Cllr. Jallah leaves to mourn his loss several children and his wife, Julia Randall Jallah, currently residing in the United States of America.
