LAF, Buchanan City Corporation Holds 10km Run on Feb. 11


The Liberia Athletics Federation (LAF) in collaboration with the Buchanan City Corporation (BCC) will hold a 10-kilometer Road Race on Monday, February 11, 2019 in Buchanan City, Grand Bassa Country.

The course of the race is from the Benson river bridge to the Doris Williams Sports Stadium.

The Buchanan’s Run is under theme “Run to Make Buchanan a Clean City.”

According to Coach Samuel Cooper of the LAF, one of the organizers, the race will comprise four co-ed categories, including: Youth, ages 9 to 14 years; Junior division, ages 15 to 19 years; Seniors, ages of 20 to 44 years; and Adult, ages 45 and above.

There will be cash prizes awarded to the first three winners in each category for both males and females.

The President of the LAF, Mulbah Zaza and Buchanan City Mayor, Moses D. Haynes, Sr., are expected to participate in the run.

The LAF, in collaboration with Liberia Marathon organized the marathon and 10km run.
