‘Kparkar was an Astute, Dedicated, Eloquent Lawmaker’

House Speaker J. Emmanuel Nuquay has described the fallen Lofa County District #1 Representative, Eugene Fallah Kparkar, as an “astute lawmaker who was also very devoted to the people of Foya.”

Nuquay made the statement when he paid a tribute on behalf of the House of Representatives at the Legislature.

He said over the last 10 years, lawmakers on Capitol Hill knew Rep. Kparkar as a “dedicated, eloquent worker. The Speaker said it saddened him to submit to death wherein Rep. Kparkar has embarked on a lonely journey.”

Speaker Nuquay gave the eulogy yesterday at the State Funeral of the fallen lawmaker held in the Rotunda of the Capitol Building, a seat of the Legislature.

Nuquay said Rep. Kparkar’s death created a hole in the heart of every lawmaker, and that they will really miss him.

Hundreds of sympathizers that gathered in the Rotunda also expressed their regret over the loss Lofa has sustained.

Prior to the ceremony at the Samuel Stryker Funeral Home, the casket was escorted by the Speaker and Members of the 53rd Legislature, his widow and other family members and partisans of the Liberty Party as well as militants
