Jorg Wolf Foundation Donates to Orphanages

Jorg Wolf Foundation, a German based humanitarian group on Tuesday, June 10, donated assorted items worth about US$6,000 to orphanages in three counties including Nimba, Bong and Monsterrado.

The items included bags of rice and sugar, cartons of milk, cooking oil, textbooks and note books, amongst others.

The donations were made on behalf of the Foundation by the New Apostolic Church in Liberia.

Presenting the items, Apostle Alexander Wright of the New Apostolic Church in Liberia, said the gesture was to show love and care for orphans in orphanage homes.

He said Christians are not only obliged to provide spiritual needs of the society, but to also assist improve the wellbeing of the less privileged in society.

Apostle Wright said, “As Christians, our common goal is to help change and improve the lives of the abandoned and the destitute in society.”

“Jorg Wolf Foundation aims to reach out to children with special needs to bring joy and smile into their faces,” he added.

He urged other churches, individuals and organizations to visit the orphanage and donate to the orphans.

In separate remarks, representatives of benefitted orphanages thanked the foundation for the gesture and called on other organizations to emulate Jorg Wolf Foundation.

Receiving the donation on behalf of Love a Child Orphanage Home, Mother Wright, said the orphanage was going through financial crisis, making it difficult to maintain the home and feed the kids.

Love a Child is situated on the Robertsfield Highway in Montserrado County.

She however assured the church that the items would be used for it intended purpose.

Jörg Wolff grew up as the third son of 7 children in a family of German entrepreneurs in Stuttgart. Born into this middle class family during World War II in 1941, he learned how to share with others. Today, Jörg Wolff is a successful businessman himself. His father, who was a true representative of Christian values combined with business ethics, was his road model. Hence, these qualities are an integral part of his belief and of his business management style.
